Mossel Bay, South Africa – ISUZU Foundation, in collaboration with IRONMAN4theKidz, donated R250,000 to three Mossel Bay charities dedicated to uplifting vulnerable youth, families, and individuals in need. This donation has been made possible through ISUZU Foundation’s commitment to contributing R100 for every entry into the ISUZU IRONMAN 70.3 Mossel Bay event which took place on Sunday, 17 November 2024.

This collaboration exemplifies ISUZU Foundation’s dedication to investing in local communities and supporting charities close to the hearts of ISUZU dealers, employees, and the general public. Since the inception of its partnership with IRONMAN4theKidz in 2022, ISUZU Foundation has funded over 22 charities, enabling essential resources in the areas of education, nutrition, healthcare, sports, and critical infrastructure. Through this latest donation, the ISUZU Foundation continues to strengthen the bond with IRONMAN4theKidz to empower communities where ISUZU operates.

“We are proud of our ongoing collaboration with IRONMAN4theKidz, a partnership that reflects our commitment to being a force for good in the communities where we operate.  Our contributions represent our dedication to uplifting lives, creating opportunities, and helping build a better future for all,” said Mr Alastair Hodgson, Department Executive Business Enablement at ISUZU MOTORS South Africa.

The donation will benefit the following Mossel Bay charities:

  • Ethan: An education and training hub addressing autism needs. Ethan supports children and families by providing guidance on managing the unique challenges of autism in Mossel Bay.
  • Eden Protocol: A program that empowers underprivileged youth by fostering skills in swimming, surfing, and lifesaving. Eden Protocol also provides a safe, welcoming space for children to complete homework, enjoy nutritious meals, and participate in after-school activities at Power Town’s Day Care Centre.
  • Creating Effective Families: This organisation offers a safe haven for women and children affected by domestic violence, substance abuse, and other traumatic circumstances. With a focus on guidance, protection, and education, Creating Effective Families helps individuals heal and rebuild their lives.

“At IRONMAN4theKidz, we believe in the power of endurance, not just in sports but in making a real difference in children’s lives. Thanks to ISUZU Foundation’s generous donation, we’re able to contribute toward brighter futures and inspire hope in young lives. Every effort we make is dedicated to uplifting and empowering kids in need,” said Garth Wright, IRONMAN4theKidz Charity Trustee. Through ISUZU Foundation’s continued efforts, ISUZU MOTORS South Africa is committed to fostering a culture of giving back and supporting charities that align with ISUZU’s values. By investing in local needs, ISUZU aims to leave a lasting impact that extends beyond business and reinforces the importance of community solidarity and shared responsibility.
