14 October 2024 – I was one of fifty fortunate journalists and influencers invited to enjoy the Mahindra Launch held at the Palace of the Lost City, Sun City, last week.

We gathered at the City Lodge, OR Tambo on Tuesday morning and, after refreshments set off for Sun City.  To celebrate the launch, we travelled in the all-new XUV 3XO compact SUV. With two of us to a car, we hopped in and hit the road.

Upon arrival, we booked in to our rooms and met for a leisurely lunch.

This was followed by an all-afternoon presentation by Mahindra South Africa’s top brass.  This included entertainment with comedian Donavon Goliath as MC, as well as presentations, videos, slide shows and discussions.

Rajesh Gupta, CEO – Mahindra South Africa spoke at length about Mahindra’s history, values heritage and future.

He said: “The launch of the XUV 3XO marks a significant milestone for Mahindra South Africa’s 20-year journey. With advanced technology, standout design, spirited performance, superior SUV comfort and truly world class safety that define the modern Mahindra brand. At the same time, it remains true to the core principles of quality, value and exceptional customer support that we have upheld since we first entered the market in 2004. With our upcoming assembly facility and continued investment in the local market, we are laying the foundation for even greater success in the years to come.”
