Toyota and its affiliated brands Lexus and Hino, each took home a platinum award at the National Automobile Dealers’ Association (NADA) Dealer Satisfaction Index Awards at a prestigious ceremony held on Tuesday, 2 July 2024.

Notably, the top three most prevalent questions in predicting satisfaction-loyalty were whether the dealers perceive their brand to: set the standard for excellence in the industry, responds to changing needs, and is committed to win-win solutions.

Toyota, Lexus and Hino were among four brands who achieved Platinum status (85% and above).

“To be awarded Platinum status by our dealers is something we do not take for granted. We continue to strive to create the best partnerships in the industry in order to find mutual solutions to our challenges,” says Leon Theron, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Toyota South Africa Motors.

The National Automobile Dealers’ Association in South Africa measures dealers’ satisfaction within automotive brands. The survey is segmented into thirteen focus areas including Overall Dealer Satisfaction; Vehicle Range; Dealer Support, Communication & Relationships, Media Support, Vehicle Distribution, Goodwill, Policy Claims and Warranty amongst others.

“Acknowledgement like the NADA Awards fosters humility and pride and I would like to extend my appreciation to the Toyota, Hino, and Lexus management and staff, particularly the field teams, as well as those serving on the dealer councils. Your hard work and dedication is truly commendable and deeply appreciated. Thank you to our dealers for voting and for the valuable feedback which we always analyse to embrace the Toyota spirit of Kaizen or continuous improvement. We thank our entire dealer network for these awards.” says Leon Theron, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Toyota South Africa Motors. A total of 35 independently researched brands participated in the 2024 NADA DSI survey. In total 1 481 responses were received, 1 298 of these responses were received from Passenger / Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) and Commercial Vehicles dealerships.
