FIAT’s revolutionary color strategy – inspired by the Italian Sea, Sun, Earth and Sky – continues. The brand’s intention is to “color” the world of mobility, to bolster its undisputed leadership as a brand of joy, colors and optimism. From October, the FIAT color palette will be enriched with two new liveries, inspired by the Italian Sun and Sky, and dedicated to the New 500.

The two new colors are consistent with the brand’s decision to stop producing gray cars; on the contrary, with its range of ambassadors for Italy in a palette of exclusive shades that recall the country’s beautiful scenery: the Italian sea, sun, land and sky. Indeed, for over a century, FIAT has brought joy, a carefree attitude and Italian taste to streets all over the world.

Inspired by the Italian Sun, the new color will be a striking “pastel yellow”, to enhance the silhouette of the New 500, as well as being traditionally associated with the creative energy that brings life and light to the future. “Dressed up” like so, the iconic FIAT will add a touch of pop to its soul and, definitely, not go unnoticed in cities where cars in neutral shades are predominant.

Sophisticated and elegant, this new light blue will further strengthen New 500 premium positioning. This color will conversely be an “iridescent light blue” inspired by the Italian Sky. Courtesy of a specific paintwork process that can enhance the transparency and lightness of the tones, the iridescent effect – made possible by physical phenomena of reflection, refraction, and interference of light waves – offers the perception of different colors depending on the observation point and light conditions, just like admiring the sky reflected on the sea.

The New 500 now comes in Rose Gold, Red, Onyx Black and Ice White, as well as in the two Celestial Blue and Ocean Green colors available from certain dealerships while introducing the two new ones.

The current FIAT range in Europe is available in 30 different shades of colors, including Gelato White, Sicilia Orange, Paprika Orange, Passione Red, Blu Dipinto di Blu, Italia Blue, Venezia Blue, Rugiada Green, Foresta Green, Rose Gold and Cinema Black – all with an evocative name that recall the beautiful landscapes of Italy and its Dolce Vita.
